In the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) pathways in the tenure and non-tenure tracks, there are several pathways for clinicians, including “Clinician-Leader” (non-tenure), “Clinician-Educator” (tenure or non-tenure), and “Clinician-Investigator” (tenure or non-tenure). An example of these tracks is shown in the diagram below. This section provides resources for those contributing to the clinical mission, regardless of your individual track, given that most clinicians at our academic medical center incorporate variable amounts of time dedicated to research, teaching, and administrative roles. Furthermore, this section provides links provided by different departments within the University of Pittsburgh, and global resources from professional societies.
